Going to the Prague Zoo - Oh Yeah!

After constant traveling and seeing monument after monument, old building after old building, it is easy to become desensitized to the different cities and sights.  So we decided to do something different, we went to the zoo.

It was so interesting and cool because there were so many different animals that we have never seen before.  Of course though, one of the first things we saw were flamingos, not really so exotic for Floridians:



What I loved about the zoo in Prague is that they let you be extremely close to the animals.  I was able to pet lemurs, watch leopards, tigers and their cubs up close.  There was a really cool type of crocodile (called a gharial) that we were able to watch behind glass (though the glass had a lot of scratches and marks on it - eek!).  






It was a great change of pace from the typical sight seeing and got us energized for our next stop - Vienna.  Here are some more pics....enjoy:
