Our next stop on our whirlwind tour was Vienna. Time for some wiener schnitzel and itty bitty sausages.
We only stayed for one day, but it was a really good day. We were able to explore the city, visit a museum and find an awesome restaurant to eat at. It is a really pretty city and has that good ole german ingenuity. It was easy to find our way around.
Try to prounouce this....I dare you. |
It was quite chilly there and the leaves were already turning |
First we visited the museum quarter, which has many of Vienna's museums. We chose a natural history museum that has a special exhibit on parasites.
The museum building itself was just as if not more interesting and beautiful than the exhibits.
View straight up from the center of the museum. |
Art...made up of flies. |
family portrait |
Then we ventured around the city to see parliament and the justice building.
Really cool bank where the entire building was made of marble |
At the end of the day, we got ready to sleep (or so we thought) on the night train headed to Venice.
